The Rosso Riserva is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and the grapes are planted in the Euganea Hills, Arquà Petrarca, Baone, Cinto Euganeo, and Teol. The vines age is an average of 25 years and grow upon beds of clay and sedimentary soil with the disintegration of volcanic rocks. After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed and are left to ferment and macerate for 14 days in stainless steel. The wine is then transferred to French oak barrels where it is aged for 24 months, before being transferred into the bottle and aging for an additional 6.
Aromatically the wine is full of bright fruit flavors such as blackberries, cherries, and raspberries with notes of dust and black olives. On the palate, the wine is velvety smooth with nuances of bramble and ripe dark fruits.
