The 'Young' Chardonnay is made of 100%, 30-year-old chardonnay vines growing in Colli Euganei. The vines are planted to a southeastern exposure on loose, chalky soils. The vines are young in comparison to plantings throughout the area, as well young in style, hence the name. After harvest, the grapes are pressed with temperature control, then aged in stainless steel for six months. The wine finishes in the bottle for two months are being micro-fined.
Aromatically the wine is bright tropical fruits and hints of fresh white flowers. On the palate, the wine is crisp and refreshing, with lemon zest, minerality, and deliciously balanced acidity.
