The grapes come from a vineyard located in the Euganea Hills, Colli Euganei DOC, planted upon beds of marl and clay from weathering volcanic rocks. The wines are Vines 27 years of age and have a south-west facing exposition. After the grapes are harvested they are gentle whole cluster pressing followed by alcoholic fermentation in 500 L French oak barrels. They are then aged on lees in same French oak barrels for 12 months before being bottled and aged for 6 months.
Aromatically the wine has notes of bruised yellow apple and zippy lemon zest, with background nuances of dried basil and tarragon. On the palate the wine is creamy midway through and finishes with a delightful amount of acidity.
