The Aux Boudots vineyard is situated on an east-facing site, adjacent to the legendary Aux Malconsorts premier cru vineyard in Vosne-Romanée. The vines average in age to 70 years old and grow upon beds of clay and limestone. After the grapes are hand-harvested they undergo cool maceration and native yeast fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel. The grapes are then gently pressed before 100% malolactic fermentation occurs. The wine is then aged in 20% new French oak before being bottled unfiltered and unfined. 

Aromatically the wine lifts from its glass with notes of warm, spiced cranberries, white chalk, and dried thanksgiving herbs. On the palate, the wine is spicy and succulent, with a powerful midpalate that is somehow as iron as is it velvet.
