The vines utilized in this bottling range in age between 50-70 years old, and sprawl across clay and limestone soils throughout Chambolle Musigny. The grapes are hand harvested before a cool maceration for 7 days. Native yeast fermentation occurs in temperature controlled stainless steel before the grapes are slowly and gently pressed. The is wine undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation and is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, of which 20% is new. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
Aromatically the wine gently lifts from the glass with notes of dusty, just ripened red berries and wet bramble. On the palate the wine is beautifully rounded with savory notes of dried meats, bright acidity and a hint of baking spice.
