The Les Preuses Grand Cru site is located on a geological 'amphitheater' created by the Vaudésir valley. The vines are planted to a southeastern exposure, receiving heaps of sunshine to aid in ripening. The sub-soil offers a harmonious combination of compact clay and calcareous soils.
Aromatically the wine is intensely floral and stone fruit-driven, with quince, Asian pears, yellow apples, jasmine, and honeysuckle lifting from the glass. On the palate, there is a luxurious creaminess to the wine, with a final note of bracing minerality to balance it out.
