ALOIS 'SETTIMO' PALLAGRELLO NERO
ALOIS

Pallagrello Nero is an ancient, rediscovered variety dating back to the ancient Greeks but made popular by King Ferdinand IV, who ruled Naples and Sicily between 1751 and 1825. The wine is blended with some Casavecchia, a grape variety with a mysterious origin that is used for their top cuvée, 'Trebulanum'. Fermented in all stainless steel with 14 days on the lees and 6 months further aging in bottle, this sustainably-farmed wine projects aromas of red fruit, forest floor, and exotic spices. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a wonderfully long and juicy finish.
