Erdener Prälat is a four acre touch of perfection, and produces some of the most celebrated and sought after wines from the Mosel. The vineyard has an ideal southern exposure, and the 100+ year old vines grow at a 100% slope upon beds of red slate soil, directly adjacent to the river. The wines that hail from this region prove to be extremely rich and complex due to the exposure and warm climate. All vineyard work and harvest is done by hand due to the extreme slope, and after manual harvest the fruit undergoes cool fermentation in stainless steel before the fermentation stopped by chilling.
Aromatically the wine lifts beautifully from the glass with aromas of perfectly ripened orchard fruit, fresh white flowers, and a touch of flint. The palate is full an creamy, with a deliciously balanced sweetness to the minerality that lingers in the back palate.
