Considered Bonny Doon's 'pink wine of the earth', Vin Gris de Cigare has been a staple for the wineries portfolio. The blend is made up of nearly equal parts Grenache and Grenache Blanc, with the remainder respectively Carignane, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Picpoul, and Vermentino in true Rhône style. All fruit comes from 11 vineyards throughout the Central Coast: Bokisch, Loma del Rio, Beeswax, Gonsalves, Rancho Solo, Alto Loma, Kiler Canyon, Mesa Verde, Vista Serrano, Nevarez, and Scheid. Grahm has utilized post-fermentation bâtonnage to add a wonderfully creamy texture. Each lot is picked at their peak levels of ripeness.
Aromatically this wine is filled with rose hips, black currents, flower petals, and a light toastiness. On the palate the wine is refreshing with a natural bracing acidity, balanced by floral and fruity flavors.
