Wine Advocate Tyler Winery, 2014 Tyler Pinot Noir La Encantada
"Black cherries, passion fruit, rose petals, dried herbs and exotic flower notes all emerge from the medium-bodied, supple, elegant and layered 2014 Pinot Noir la Encantada. Silky and elegant on the palate, with high yet nicely integrated acidity, drink this ultra-pure, classy Pinot Noir anytime over the coming decade." –Aug-16
Vinous Tyler Winery, 2014 Tyler Pinot Noir La Encantada
"The 2014 Pinot Noir La Encantada Vineyard offers good up-front fleshiness and immediacy but fewer of the mineral/savory notes that drive so many of the Pinots at Tyler. Open-knit and forward, the 2014 will drink well with minimal cellaring."
The vineyard was planted in 2000 and is the lowest yielding site of all their
vineyards. Vines grow in deeper clay loam soils over shale, and they started working with these vines in 2007. Typically these wines are the most savory of my Santa Rita Hills bottlings.
