"The 2014 Zinfandel Turley Estate offers an unusual level of power for the year. Tobacco, cedar, menthol and licorice add nuance, but above all else, the 2014 is a wine of textural depth, especially in the mid-palate, where the wine shows an intensity that most of Turley's other 2014 Zinfandels don't have. -AG" –Oct 2015
"Plushness and power combine with structure and finesse. Floral aromas of mixed black and red berries open to complex and lingering flavors of cherry, licorice and freshly cracked pepper. Drink now through 2026. 1,400 cases made." –Jun-16
This vineyard is special to everyone in the Turley crew as it is right in their backyard, visible from the Turley family home in St. Helena. In 2006, they planted 6 acres of head-trained, dry-farmed Zinfandel that complements the original planting from ten years prior, all of which are farmed Certified Organic.
Winemaking: Fermentation with only natural yeasts; 80% French oak, 20% American oak (80% used, 20% new). Aged for approximately 15 months.
