"The 2013 Zinfandel Turley Estate shows the virile side of the year. One of the most raw, intense wines in the range, the Estate possesses notable breadth and power, with layers of deep, ample fruit and considerable supporting tannin. Layers of flavor build to the explosive finish. The 2013 has more than enough depth and pure density to drink well for many years. (92-94)" –Jan 2015
This vineyard is special to everyone at the Turley crew as it is right in their backyard, visible from the Turley family home in St. Helena. In 2006, they planted 6 acres of head-trained, dry-farmed Zinfandel that complements the original planting from ten years prior, all of which are farmed Certified Organic.
Winemaking: Fermentation with only natural yeasts; 80% French oak, 20% American oak (80% used, 20% new). Aged for approximately 15 months.
