"Deep ruby. Oaky torrefaction and vanilla dominate the nose, which only hints of spicy red fruit. Smooth, dense and suave, offering sneaky concentration and real poise along with rich, chewy red cherry, quinine and sweet spice flavors. Very long and youthfully chewy on the finish. This will repay cellaring. Spends three years in oak. (16% alcohol)"

70% Corvina
20% Rondinella
5% Croatina
5% Oseleta

This classic Amarone blend is from the municipality of Mezzane di Sotto - Monti Garbi district. The 40-year-old vines are planted in sandy/loamy soil abundant in white calcareous subsoil.

At harvest, the grapes are double sorted by hand and laid out on wooden trays. Natural fermentation is allowed with pumping over by hand for approximately 60 - 70 days in wooden barrels. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation then takes place in 500-liter tonneaux. The wine is aged 3 years in new French oak barrels.
