Blend of about 60% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 5% Croatina. The grapes are handpicked fresh and undergo a drying process for about 5 months. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, casks and barriques. The wine undergoes complete natural malolactic fermentation in barrique. Recioto is then barrel-aged for an average of 20 months in 225 L French oak barriques (30-40% new). The wine then ages in bottle for 10 months. This wine is only made in the very best vintages. The latest vintage was in 2009 and the next vintage will be in 2015.
