"Apricot pit, orange marmalade, spices and savory herbs are all laced together in this mid-weight, expressive 2010 Recioto di Soave La Broia. The 2010 is more of a mid-weight Recioto, with about 125 grams per liter of residual sugar, less than in the past. Slightly oxidative almond and hazelnut overtones - the signatures of a brief period of skin contact - add complexity and nuance."

VARIETAL: 100% Garganega

VINIFICATION: Dried grapes using natural ventilation, use of fans only if required.

FERMENATION: carried out exclusively in French 225 litre oak barrels. It's a very slow fermentation which takes 60 to 90 days, depending on the vintage. No Malolactic.

AGING: 18 months in oak barrels and 24 months in bottles. 20% of the barrels are new.
