"Explosive and powerful to the core, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon The Brothers presents dark tonalities of fruit along with distinctly savory and mineral notes. Grilled herbs, smoke, lavender and pencil shavings add nuance. The Brothers is dark, powerful and brooding in style, not to mention more structured than the Ricos Cabernet, Accordingly, it needs a few years to fully come together. -AG" –Oct 2015
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Brothers Vineyard is ample with sweet tannin and notes of licorice, blackcurrants, graphite and earth. It is dense, powerful, yet at the same time well-balanced and pure, and exceptionally well-crafted. Give it several years of bottle age and drink it over the following 10-20 years. -RP"
Much of Snowden’s beautiful vineyard, situated above the Auberge du Soleil next to Sloan, was replanted several years ago. All of Snowden’s vineyards are pruned, trained and harvested by hand. Farming is done with the overall goal of “sustainability” - Minimal use of chemicals and no herbicides - instead removing unwanted weeds mechanically and by hand. Once a vineyard block is established, they farm “no till", which encourages beneficial organisms to develop a balanced and healthy ecosystem within the vineyard.
