"The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc Sunninghill is very rich in this vintage. Lemon comfit, orchard fruit, white flowers and a hint of reduction are some of the signatures. I would prefer to drink the 2015 sooner rather than later, even though there is good depth in the glass." –Feb-17
The wine is whole-cluster pressed, barrel fermented in stainless steel and used oak barrels, with no malolactic fermentation. The wines are also aged on the lees, or as the winemakers like to say, "on the stuff." All Snowden's wines are made naturaly, without adding any yeast nor nutrients.
“Sunninghill” is a name Virginia Snowden originally proposed for the ranch when she and Wayne arrived in 1955, although it never became official.
