Sonoma-Loeb, 2013 Sonoma-Loeb Chardonnay Private Reserve Sangiacomo Vineyard

"Sourced from a several parcels of the Sangiacomo Vineyard, winemaker Phillip Titus has crafted a delicious, classic Carneros Chardonnay. Scents of citrus and orchard fruit lead to a superbly balanced palate with hints of stone fruit and melon. Bright acidity contributes to the wine’s freshness and length. The oak is beautifully integrated."

Sonoma-Loeb

The Private Reserve Chardonnay has stayed true to its Sonoma-Carneros roots since 1990. Originally sourced from one small block of Sangiacomo Vineyard’s famed “Home Ranch,” the vineyard sources have expanded to several of Sangiacomo’s best blocks. This cool, windswept vineyard has an ideal location bordering San Pablo Bay, where the slowly-maturing grapes develop intense varietal character, while still retaining excellent acidity and structure.

The wine is fermented in French oak barrels, aged on the lees for eight months and undergoes malolactic fermentation during the aging process.
