Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Mendoza
Composition: Malbec (92%); Syrah (8%)
Produced in the Finca Las Divas estate vineyard at 4,000 feet elevation, the vines are densely planted and drip irrigation enables very precise water management using snowmelt from the Andes from an aquifer over 600 feet deep. The altitude and slope of the Gualtallary terrain allow for optimum maturation of the grapes. Hand-harvested grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then blended and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 6 months, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrel.
