Poliziano, 2013 Lohsa Morellino di Scansano

"BEST BUY - Federico Carletti, proprietor of Poliziano in Montepulciano, produces this wine from vineyards just a few miles from the sea. It reflects a coastal warmth and concentration as well as the trademark cherry aromas of ciliegiolo (15 percent of the blend). Aged eight month in used barrels and tonneaux, it feels balanced and energetic, with a clean, herbal finish."
