Viña Cobos, 2014 Cobos Malbec Chañares Vineyard
99
"A debut wine from the esteemed winemaker Paul Hobbs, whose family owns the vineyard. Aromas of dark fruit, wet earth, mushroom and stone follow through to full body, chewy tannins and an intense finish. This is a fantastic entry to the world of malbec. Organically farmed. This needs four or five years to soften. Watch this."

Viña Cobos, 2014 Cobos Malbec Chañares Vineyard

"Firm, muscular flavors of dried raspberry, slate and macerated cherry offer hints of sage and savory herb, lingering with notes of cedar and cigar box. Baker’s chocolate details show on the ripe, creamy finish. Drink now through 2023.—K.M."
