"The 2014 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate shows a deep ruby purple color, wonderful purity, slightly more oak than its predecessors, but plenty of size, richness and substance. "

"Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate has a restrained nose of warm cranberries and red currants with underlying forest floor, chargrill, yeast extract and game. Medium-bodied with a beautiful backbone of finely grained tannins and lively acidity, it offers persistent earth and layers of red berry flavor and great finesse."

"Juicy and vibrant, with a zesty core of cherry and raspberry thatÄôs pure and direct, tilting toward the supple side while retaining a firm backbone. Drink now through 2024."

2014 Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Vineyard
Paul Hobbs Winery

2014 was the third straight outstanding growing season in a row, following the excellent 2012 and 2013 vintages. Dry winter and spring conditions limited canopy vigor, and a warm growing season with a lack of extreme heat spikes resulted in prolonged, even ripening through harvest. The resulting wines possess great site specificity, depth and quality. Hand-harvested, picked at night, it is then fermented with indigenous yeasts in small, open-top, stainless steel tanks. It goes through spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrel and then aged 15 months in French oak barrels, 71% new.
