"This has more mango peel and peach skin with some dried jackfruit, dried rosemary and peach compote. The palate got lovely ripe, soft fruit but then a line of acidity at the back that drives things through to an oily, topical finish. Drink now or hold."

Paul Hobbs Winery

This small hillside estate is the coolest vineyard in their portfolio. It offers southern and western exposures and is made up of Blucher and Josephine soil series consisting of gravel and clay loam. Fruit is hand-harvested at night and whole cluster pressed while still cold from the field. It is barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts for 8 months to completion. It undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrels and ages 15 months in French Oak barrels (58% new) sur lies with biweekly bâtonnage.
