Wine Advocate Liquid Farm, 2014 Liquid Farm Chardonnay FOUR
"Coming mostly from Clos Pepe and Bentrock vineyards (there are smaller amounts from Zotovich and Kessler-Haak), the 2014 Chardonnay Four is a big, rich, decadent and full-flavored beauty that dishes out lots of golden apple, butter, brioche and toasty notes in a rounded, balanced package. It should keep for at least 5-6 years." –Aug-16
Vinous Liquid Farm, 2014 Liquid Farm Chardonnay FOUR
"The 2014 Chardonnay Four is a blend of barrels from Clos Pepe, Bentrock, Zotovich and Kessler-Haak. It is also the most overt and powerful wine in the range, with plenty of tropical fruit, butter, pineapple, mint and sweet oak flavors. The 2014 spent a bit longer in barrel (18 months) than the other Liquid Farm Chardonnays. I can't say that resulted in a meaningfully better or more complex wine, but the Four is undoubtedly delicious and well done."
100% Chardonnay from four vineyards: Rita's Crown, Clos Pepe, Kessler-Haak and Radian.
The FOUR chardonnay is a tribute to Liquid Farm's inaugural four barrels in 2009. The hand-picked fruit for this rich and exotic Chardonnay comes from Rita's Crown, Clos Pepe, Kessler-Haak and Radian vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. The wine spent 15 months in neutral oak (25% new). As with all of Liquid Farm's wines, it is made with native yeast fermentation and minimal intervention.
