Wine Advocate L'Aventure Winery, 2013 L'Aventure Côte A Côte
"A blend of 40% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache and 30% Syrah, the 2013 Cote a Cote is a classic Rhone blend from Paso that has lots of blackberry, cassis, ground pepper and damp earth aromatics, full-bodied richness and both good acidity and tannic grip. Showing more complex floral characteristics and chalky minerality with time in the glass, it can be enjoyed now or cellared for a decade." –August 2015

"The 2013 Cote a Cote stands out for its firm tannin, energy and total class. Dark red plum, smoke, new leather and iron are some of the notes that burst from the glass in this utterly impeccable, racy Paso red. Sweet floral and spiced notes add perfume on the finish. Stephan Asseo has done a remarkable job in expressing the elegant, refined side of the vintage. The 2013 is 39% Mourvedre, 31% Grenache and 30% Syrah. (92-94)"
Vinous Media L'Aventure Winery, 2013 L'Aventure Côte A Côte
"Opaque ruby. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, smoky Indian spices, vanilla and minerals. Concentrated but lithe on the palate, offering intense raspberry and bitter cherry flavors underscored by a suave floral note. The spicy quality comes back emphatically on a long, sweet finish framed by slow-building, harmonious tannins." –September 2015, Josh Raynolds
