"Lurid red. High-pitched aromas of ripe raspberry, cherry pit, Asian spices and fresh flowers develop a zesty mineral quality in the glass. Gently sweet, penetrating and focused on the palate, offering vibrant red berry and bitter cherry flavors that flesh out and put on weight with air. Smoke and spicecake notes appear on the clinging, smoke-tinged finish, which features even tannins and an echo of bitter cherry."

The Sandra Adele Pinot Noir is a cuvée named for Jay’s mother, Sandy. Typically, it is blended of fruit from two outstanding vineyards in the Dundee Hills AVA: Abbey Ridge and Chalie’s Vineyard. It is the ying/yang wine of J. Christopher, combining the elegant, floral character of Abbey Ridge with the deeper, more earthy taste of Charlie’s Vineyard. Hand-picked grapes undergo native yeast fermentation and age 20 months in barrel.
