Clos Henri, 2014 Petit Clos Pinot Noir

"Floral and fragrant, this offers a mix of dried lavender and rose petal nuances that give way to a core of juicy, bright wild strawberry and cherry flavors. Velvety tannins provide just the right amount of traction, with black tea and spice notes on the finish. Drink now through 2030. 2,300 cases made. ÄìMW"

2014 Petit Clos Pinot Noir
Clos Henri

In the French tradition, the entire vineyard is high densely planted - this forces the vines to compete with one another, resulting in highly concentrated grapes. The younger Pinot vines on the estate are situated on three different soil types. All Pinot Noir is hand-picked in the cool, early mornings to retain fruit integrity.

This wine was fermented in stainless steel open tops and then aged in large French oak vats for 11 months. Aging in large oak vats, instead of smaller barrels, gives the great wine balance with subtle oak which enriches structure while retaining aromatic intensity.
