"Brilliant ruby-red. Raspberry, candied rose and white pepper on the intensely perfumed nose. Gently sweet, palate-staining red berry flavors pick up subtle smoke and spicecake qualities with air, along with a suggestion of dusty minerals. Finishes gently sweet and long; fine-grained tannins add shape to the spice-tinged, clinging red fruit. This is a highly successful New World rendition of the variety, which is quite a rarity." –Sep-16
