2014 Failla Chardonnay Chuy Vineyard Sonoma Valley
Vinous Failla, 2014 Failla Chardonnay Chuy Vineyard Sonoma Valley
"Failla's 2014 Chardonnay Chuy Vineyard, from a dry-farmed site planted in 1964, is one of the most overt wines in this range. Orange jam, marmalade, smoke, dried flowers and honeyed notes meld together in an oily, viscous Chardonnay loaded with class and personality. The Chuy Vineyard is located on the Sonoma side of Mount Veeder. Rarely are the wines here anything less than compelling." –Feb-16
Wine Spectator Failla, 2014 Failla Chardonnay Chuy Vineyard Sonoma Valley
"Delivers a zesty, tangy core of citrus-laced fruit, with an underlying mix of rich green apple and tree fruits that impart added dimension. Drink now. 394 cases made."

2014 Failla Chardonnay Chuy Vineyard Sonoma Valley Failla
Planted in 1968, these plantings of Shot-Wente selection represent some of the oldest continuously producing Chardonnay vines in California. Tucked into the Mayacamas Mountains at 1200 feet and overlooking Sonoma Valley this dramatic vineyard produces some of the most concentrated and intensely aromatic wine in this lineup.
Ehren distinguishes this vineyard site by fermenting and aging a quarter of the wine in a uniquely designated concrete-egg, while the remainder lies sur lie in primarily neutral French oak. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
