Wine Advocate
Chappellet Winery, 2014 Chappellet 'Signature' Cabernet Sauvignon

"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9/% Petit Verdot and the rest Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, is a classic example of Pritchard Hill, Chappellet and of Napa Valley. Brilliant purity, a dense purple color, superb blackberry and floral-infused blueberry fruit and cassis, a full-bodied mouthfeel, moderate but sweet tannin and a long, layered, texture and finish make for a profound Cabernet Sauvignon that actually sells at a bargain price for what is in the bottle. Moreover, look for it to evolve graciously for another 20+ years."

Chappellet Winery, 2014 Chappellet 'Signature' Cabernet Sauvignon

"A big yet graceful style that manages to rein in the tannins and let the supple dark berry, herb, black tea and cedary oak flavors display their complexity. Ends with an appropriate level of tannins. Best from 2019 through 2029. 12,000 cases made."

76% Cabernet Sauvignon
9% Merlot
8% Malbec
7% Petit Verdot

The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon has been Chappellet's flagship wine for more than three decades. It is a benchmark for the long-lived hillside wines of the Napa Valley. It is full of structure and aging potential, yet seductively forward in its concentrated varietal character.

The dry, rocky soils of Pritchard Hill produce small, intensely flavorful grapes. Crop-thinning allows for full, even ripening and further elevates flavor complexity.
