Domaine de Beaurenard, 2014 Beaurenard Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Boisrenard'

"Fleshy and layered, with gorgeous spice cake, melted licorice, singed alder and warm espresso notes leading the way for a core of steeped blueberry, raspberry and plum fruit. Everything pulls together wonderfully, with velvet-coated grip extending the finish. Best from 2019 through 2029. From France.âÄî"

"More tight and focused than the classic cuvée, the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvee Boisrenard Blanc has a kiss of barrique to go with lots of apple blossom, caramelized citrus, and white flower-like aromas and flavors. Still medium-bodied and elegant, with good freshness and focus, it will be better in six to 12 months and drink nicely through 2021."
