Vinous Domaine de Beaurenard, 2013 Beaurenard Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge AC
"Lively red and dark berry scents show very good clarity, picking up notes of woodsmoke and garrigue with air. Juicy black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors coat the palate, with tangy acidity and a hint of white pepper providing energy. Rich yet lively Châteauneuf with strong finishing thrust and smooth, late-arriving tannins (90-92)" –April 2015
Wine Spectator Domaine de Beaurenard, 2013 Beaurenard Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge AC
"Broad and muscular, with ganache, chestnut and leather notes out front, followed by a well-endowed core of blackberry, fig and black currant paste flavors. The intense, tobacco-and warm stone-fueled finish rumbles with bass, but has the needed acidity for lift and cut. Best from 2016 through 2024. 5,000 cases made."

Domaine de Beaurenard covers 32 ha of organically and biodynamically (certified Ecocert and Demeter) farmed land in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The vineyard produces extremely low yields of 25 hl/ha.
Hand-picked and hand-sorted grapes are destemmed, partially crushed and co-fermented for 15 to 31 days with periodic punch downs. The wine is transferred to 30 hl oak foudres and 80 hl truncated-cone-shaped vats for 9 to 18 months in barrel (5% new). (6500 cs)
