"Offering additional richness and depth, the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Boisrenard (it’s mostly Clairette, yet includes just about every permitted variety) was brought up in a mix of foudre and older barrels. It’s another tour de force in white wine and offers awesome notes of buttered citrus and orchards fruits, lots of minerality and brioche nuances, medium to full-bodied richness and vibrant acidity. It too is going to age brilliantly."

Domaine de Beaurenard

VARIETAL COMPOSITION: Boisrenard Blanc is made from selected vines aged 60-100 years. They include the AOC's six white-grape varieties, with Clairette and Roussane the mainstays.

VINIFICATION: Yields are very low: 15-20 hectoliters/hectare. The juice is fermented directly in barrels, where the wines are then aged on fine lees for 6-10 months. No malo.

Only a few barrels are made per vintage.
