Brick House Vineyards, 2015 Brick House Gamay Noir

"Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Gamay Noir offers a very pretty nose of violets, red roses and Bing cherries with hints of cranberry juice and garrigue. Light to medium-bodied, the palate reveals tons of fruit and savory layers with a chewy frame and great length."
Brick House Vineyards, 2015 Brick House Gamay Noir

"Lurid magenta. Intense red berry, violet pastille and peppery spice scents, along with a touch of succulent herbs. Gently sweet and lively in the mouth, offering juicy red currant and cherry flavors and a suggestion of five-spice powder. Subtle tannins give shape to the nervy, spice-laced finish, which lingers with strong tension and persistence."

Brick House Vineyards

After yet another extremely warm growing season in the Willamette Valley, the fruit was harvested from the estate vineyard on September 15, 2015. Consistent with previous vintages, the juice contained about 23 degrees Brix of soluble solids and the all important pH — an indicator of acidity — was right in the sweet spot of 3.24. The fruit was fully de-stemmed and moved into open top fermenting tanks where a native fermentation was encouraged. After 21 days, the new wine was racked into neutral barrels where it remained until the summer of 2016. After 12 months in 100% neutral barrels, the wine was bottled in September, 2016.
770 cases were produced.
