"Smoke, slate, dried pears and almonds open up as the 2013 Chablis Vau de Vey shows off its distinctive personality. The 2013 impresses for its vibrant fruit and expressive aromatic complexity. This is a gorgeous wine in every way. Vau de Vey is now in its 7th year of biodynamic farming, which followers of this discipline view as the first inflection point in seeing the first tangible results in quality. The 2013 Vau de Vey is striking, that much is obvious. (90-92)" –Aug 2014
"It would be all but impossible to mistake this for anything other than a wine from Chablis as the amount of Chablis elements is remarkable in the form of smoky mineral reduction, green fruit, iodine and algae nuances. There is fine concentration and ample minerality to the medium-bodied flavors that possess that lovely sense of tension on the powerful, focused and lingering finish. What this doesnâÄôt have is much in the way of refinement but if you love classic Chablis character, this would make for a good choice."

Facing East, its slopes are very steep, some of which can only be worked by hand. This appellation is less well-known than the others, but gives wines of excellent quality : delicate, rich, rather mineral and dry.
