Jean-Marc Brocard, 2014 Brocard Chablis Sainte Claire

"A textbook flinty aroma gives way to green apple, lemon and mineral flavors. This white shows fine depth and richness, offset by vibrant acidity. Excellent length. Drink now through 2020.—B.S."

International Wine Review
Jean-Marc Brocard, 2014 Brocard Chablis Sainte Claire

"The Domaine Sainte Claire Chablis shows scents of yellow apple and flowers. There's very good balance and weight in the mouth with yellow fruit flavors. It's round and lush and finishes with excellent length. Better density and persistence than the 2013 vintage of the same wine."

Jean-Marc Brocard, 2014 Brocard Chablis Sainte Claire

"The 2014 Chablis les Domaine Sainte Claire has a slight reduction on the nose that is quite pleasant and still allows the chalky scents to filter through. The palate is well balanced with fresh lime and quince on the entry, a nice edginess here with a punchy, spicy finish that yells "seafood!" Partner with some fruits de mer and you'll be onto a winner."

Jean-Marc Brocard

The Chablis Sainte Claire is comprised of 100% Chardonnay from 30 year old vines with south-facing exposures in the Village of Préhy. Soils are Kimmeridgian with alternate layers of limestone and marls containing fossilized marine bodies, which give this Chablis its fresh & vibrant minerality. Planted 5,700 vines per hectare, all farmed biodynamically. The wine was fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then aged in tank for 9 months. Malolactic fermentation completed.
