"Accendo's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a surprisingly open-knit, succulent wine for the year. There is good lift and creaminess throughout, but less of the energy, depth and structural intensity that is such a signature of this vintage. Mocha, black cherry, spice, and tobacco are some of the notes that open up in the glass. This is one of the more supple, accessible 2013 Cabernets readers will come across." –Feb-17
With the exception of one heat spike in late June, the consistent, moderate temperatures, lack of major heat spikes, beautifully long season, and a very early harvest made 2013 one of the most superb vintages in Napa Valley’s history.
Grapes were hand-picked between September 16th and 27th, fermented individually in small tanks, aged in 100% new French oak barrels and bottled after 23 months in barrel on August 28th, 2015.
