Accendo Cellars, 2015 Accendo Sauvignon Blanc
93
"Composed of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Musque and a splash of Semillon, the 2015 Sauvignon Blanc is scented of white peaches, grapefruit and lemon curd with touches of honeycomb, elderflower and a waft of wild thyme. Medium-bodied with a lovely satiny texture, the palate features a great intensity of gorgeous honeyed stone fruit flavors and a wicked acid backbone, giving lift to the long finish."

Accendo Cellars, 2015 Accendo Sauvignon Blanc

"Accendo's 2015 Sauvignon Blanc is shockingly inward for a wine from a warm, early-ripening vintage. The flavors are bright and crystalline, with plenty of citrus peel and floral character. It will be interesting to see if the 2015 softens with a little more time in bottle, or if it remains chiseled in feel, as it is today."

2015 Accendo Sauvignon Blanc
Accendo Cellars
This wine is a blend of Sauvignon varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Musque and Semillion.
The grapes are hand harvested in the morning, whole cluster pressed into stainless steel drums and French oak barrels (new and used). The juice is then fermented with primarily native yeasts. The wine is aged sur lie for seven months with weekly 'Bâtonnage'.
The 2015 vintage was warmer then average and brought an early bud break. The cooler weather in May, during bloom, reduced yields by about 15% below average. Summer was then one of the hotter and dryer ones in the past 20 years.
