2012 Riglos Gran Corte

92
"The top of the range is the 2012 Gran Corte, a blend of 60% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc from a vineyard called Las Divas in Tupungato planted 10 years ago at 1,200 meters altitude. The altitude no doubt provided some freshness that seems to have compensated for the heat of the vintage allowing the wine to come through as balanced, serious and ripe without excess. There is a lot of black pepper flavor making it feel very spicy on a palate with good concentration, acidity and length. A very worthy Uco blend. 10,421 bottles produced."
