2012 Bramare Malbec Luján de Cuyo

89
"There is a line of appellation wines in the Bramare brand and I tasted three reds starting with the 2012 Bramare Malbec Luján de Cuyo form the classical grape-growing zone of Mendoza. The warm 2012 shows riper fruit in Luján than in Uco, and there are some aromas of ripe plums in liqueur intermixed with plenty of spices, cigar box and hints of graphite, more advance than the wine from Uco. The palate is full-bodied, juicy and ripe, with glossy, thick tannins that build a velvety texture. The acidity is moderate and the wine feels ready. 80,000 bottles."
