2014 Bourgeois Sancerre d'Antan

92
"The 2014 Sancerre d'Antan is another icon wine of the domaine. From a flinty, pretty stony and almost organically farmed vineyard planted in 1936, fermented in oak and aged on the fine lees, this cuvée was bottled without fining and filtration. It is a very clear, deep and aromatic Sancerre with intense fruit and fascinatingly flinty/mineral aromas on the nose. It has a full-bodied, round and elegant palate with a clear, slightly oaky fruit and dry, very long and refreshing finish with a lovely phenolic grip and stimulatingly bitter citrus (grapefruit) flavors. The aftertaste is enormously pure and salty and reveals a dramatic youth and aging potential."
