VINEYARD Fruit off of the Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena, owned by Andy Beckstoffer. Vines 20 years of age. Hand harvested at night.
SOIL Bale loam
VINIFICATION AND AGING Hand sorted. 5-6 day cold soak, 32 day total maceration. Fermentation occurs in small closed-stop stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs in barrel. Aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Unfined and unfiltered.
