VINEYARDS Fruit is harvested from select vineyards throughout Russian River Valley: Station Estate, Edward James Estate, O'Connor, Roger Wishard Estate, Feeney Ranch Estate, Don Miguel, Richard Dinner, Goldrock Estate and Ellen Lane Estate. Grapes are hand harvested, using only sheers.
SOIL Many soils derived from weathered sandstone including Goldridge Series, brown sandy loam, and sandy clay.
VINIFICATION AND AGING Grapes are brought into the winery, and immediately whole cluster pressed. Wine is barrel fermented using native yeasts. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs. Aged for 10 months in 48% new French oak, followed by 5 months of stainless steel aging. Aged sur lies with biweekly bâtonnage. Unfined and unfiltered.
