VINEYARDS Fruit coming from elite selections of vineyards in the coolest areas of Napa Valley. The majority coming from Kelley Ranch which overlooks the San Pablo Bay. This vintage also includes fruit harvested from the Red Hen Vineyard in Oak Knoll, and from an older, dry-farmed block of Wente clone grapes from Bald Mountain Vineyard.
SOILS Shallow soils composed of clay and gravel
VINIFICATION AND AGING Aged on lees for 8 months in about one third new French oak. The majority of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.
