BADIA A COLTIBUONO

The Badia a Coltibuono Riserva is one of the estate's flagship wines, only made in the best vintages. 

VARIETALS Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino

VINEYARD The southwest facing vineyard consists of clay and limestone rock with 35+ year old vines. 260-370m altitude.

VINIFICATION Hand-picked grapes manually sorted at the winery. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Cap managed with punchdown. Maceration on the skins for at least 3 weeks.

AGING 24 months in casks of French and Austrian oak followed by 4 months of bottle age before release.
