Harvest in full swing for The Hilt

/ September 11, 2018

Sta. Rita Hills, Santa Barbara

Matt Dees, intrepid winemaker of The Hilt (among many other jewels in our book) reports:

"We officially started our harvest early this morning by picking a pinot noir cluster selection from Radian Block 62A (the Moon Blocks). We've been harvesting small amounts for sparkling over the past few weeks, but now we're really off and moving. The winery is finally buzzing. Looks like it could be a sensational harvest, but it also looks to be a rather long one. We might very well be harvesting fruit into November until roughly Thanksgiving."

"That block truly gives the smallest, most concentrated clusters in the world. If anyone ever asks what makes The Hilt Pinot Noir so special, this picture should more than suffice for an answer", completes Matt.
